HILIA

Timeless Elegance

The Founder's Tale

Since the late 1970s, the Al-Tiywani family has been crafting a story of authentic Omani artistry, a story that embodies a passion passed down through generations and a craftsmanship refined by experience. From the heart of the Sultanate of Oman, a cradle of ancient civilizations where a rich heritage of beauty thrives, the family’s journey in silver jewelry making began, carrying the torch of passion from one generation to the next.

In the late 1970s, in the historic city of Nizwa, the grandfather, Nasser Al-Tiywani (may he rest in peace), laid the foundation of this craft, planting the seeds of mastery in his sons. From those beginnings grew a flourishing legacy, telling an inspiring story.

In the early 1990s, his son Saif (Abu Imad Al-Tiywani) continued the path of creativity, enriching the family legacy with a renewed vision that harmoniously blended the authenticity of the past with the innovation of the present.

In 2017, the next generation carried this legacy forward by establishing the brand HILIA, further elevating the family’s heritage into a contemporary expression of timeless elegance.

Chapter One:

HILIA’s Tale

With over three decades of passion and craftsmanship, the sons of Abu Imad Al-Tiywani laid the foundation of a luxury brand dedicated to designing and crafting distinctive pieces of elegance. Each creation stands as a testament to a rich heritage and deeply rooted traditions, embodying a legacy of inherited passion and refined artistry.

From the heart of this authentic legacy, HILIA was born. The name, derived from the Arabic word for adornment and jewelry, carries a mission to revive the beauty of the past through contemporary expressions, speaking to those who seek timeless pieces inspired by heritage.

Through its designs, HILIA showcases a treasure drawn from the richness of Omani heritage, inspired by the intricate engravings of traditional silver khanjars to the geometric elegance of Islamic architecture. Each piece becomes a story, narrating the richness of Oman, positioning HILIA as a guardian of heritage and a translator of its beauty into the language of modern elegance.

The Central Flower:

The design draws its inspiration from HILIA’s emblem and the authentic Omani Samṭ. In its abstract geometric form, the flower reflects the pivotal role of Omani women and their enduring influence, radiating strength and generosity within society.

The Encompassing Circle:

Encircling the flower is an unbroken ring, symbolizing continuity and heritage. It reflects the Omani woman’s role as a bridge between past, present, and future carrying values, inspiring generations with generosity and ambition.

The Ornamental Pattern:

Formed by harmonious repetitions of the flower’s petals, it symbolizes the interconnected roles of Omani women and echoes traditional crafts such as sadu (the traditional Bedouin weaving) and embroidery.

Diamond Shapes:

A visual element rooted in Omani crafts such as weaving and embroidery, used by women across generations as a repeating motif. In the current design, it symbolizes their artistry and creative skill.

Metals & Stones

Lapis Lazuli:

Symbol of wisdom and depth of thought, reflecting the Omani woman’s influential role in both society and work.

Turquoise:

A symbol of peace and renewal, reflecting the Omani woman’s balance between heritage and openness to the future, inspired by Oman’s nature and cultural legacy.

Sterling Silver 925:

An authentic metal rooted in Omani heritage, adorning Omani women for generations.
